Hobbies

I am currently working as a physician with a very strong background in: all the hard sciences; reading; writing; test prep; and critical thinking techniques. I have had an amazing experience tutoring high school students in their subjects or helping with standardized exams, tutoring undergrads in the same courses that I have taken myself, and even helping non-traditional students get into the program they want. I have previously owned and operated my tutoring LLC and only gave it up because my medical career did not allow for any other concomitant professions. I have found that teaching is not about repetition and encouraging practice, but about shifting the viewpoint between the subject and the student. My students have done very well in the past, not because they were incredibly smart or ambitious, but because they saw how to correctly structure their strengths and weaknesses and adapt them into a more efficient study schedule. I hope to maintain that record if you do consider me!!
